RES Learning Support Assistant
Part Time hours available on a casual basis (Temporary from February – June 2021)
£9.35ph plus holiday pay
North Notts College, Worksop
Rotherham Education Services supply the RNN Group with temporary workers. We are looking for Learning Support Assistants to work within the busy Additional Learning Support team within the RNN Group.
The Role
In this rewarding role, you will provide in class/out of class support to assist students with learning difficulties/disabilities to help them achieve their best possible outcomes. This may be supporting with personal care and/or literacy and numeracy. You will be a key part of the Student Support team, and will assist in the planning, preparation & assessment of learning, giving feedback to tutors and managers on learners.
You will have the personal skills to be able to effectively support students, dealing with challenging behaviour when it arises, and helping them to develop their own coping strategies.
The ideal candidates will:
- Hold GCSE A-C in English & Maths or be prepared to work towards
- Hold experience supporting students in an educational setting
- Hold experience or/and knowledge with additional learning support needs
- Be flexible
- Good Administration Skills
- Good IT skills specifically Microsoft office
