Analyst - Grade 1, Crypto – Wakefield
An opportunity has arisen for an Analyst - Grade 1 in the Crypto team at ALS Environmental in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
As an Analyst – Grade 1 you will complete to the required timescales and quality standards, the analysis of samples for a range of methods.
About the Position
Hours per Week: 37
Days per Week: Monday to Friday and Saturday’s on a rota basis (Call out and Standby may also be required)
Basis: Full-time and Permanent
Annual Salary: £16,777.28
Closing Date: 16th February 2021
Specific Accountabilities & Key Performance Indicators:
* Samples completed in compliance with quality management system
* Samples completed to allocated quantities and deadlines
Position Duties and Scope:
* Maintain daily service delivery to Company KPI’s
* Understand customer requirements
* Reporting of analytical data, when deemed competent under the competent persons regulations
* Work with other team members to ensure efficient flow of samples
Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities:
* Adhere to Health and Safety and Company policies and procedures
* Adherence to the COSSH Risk Assessment
* To comply with the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and ensure safe manual handling of chemicals/equipment
* To report any near-misses or incident to the line manager
Position Requirements:
* 5 GCSE’s at Grade C or above to include Science, Maths and English
* A level or equivalent in scientific subject
* Ability to follow instructions and procedures
* Good communication skills
* Basic IT skills
* Work effectively in a team
* Ability to plan and organise own work area
* Attention to detail and the ability to keep accurate records
