A part time Client Manager/Bookkeeper is now sought to join a growing Accountancy practice. You can be based anywhere in England, as this is a working from home role, and they are looking for someone who can commit to 20 hours a week. As you will be working from a home office, you will be provided with a laptop/desktop, as well as office supplies.

Please be aware that this is not a bookkeeping role, instead you will be over seeing the bookkeeping completed by an offshore team and liaise with them to ensure that all strict deadlines are adhered to.

Your primary function is to provide financial management services to client's in the company's portfolio and act as liaison between the client, offshore accounting team and their business, focusing on exceptional customer service and accuracy you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting responsibilities as well as supporting the team as required

To ensure the confidentiality of their clients work, no printing of paperwork is needed. All work is to be done digitally.

They are a Tech Savvy company and use many different applications to save time and to streamline their processes. You will be required to learn how to use the different application and training will be provided if required.

You will be required to communicate with clients and staff via video conference (Zoom) as well as via telephone, WhatsApp, email and occasionally face to face.

You will be required to review of work completed by offshore accounting team, carrying out purchase and sales ledger monitoring with feedback to client and partners on a regular basis. You will also be responsible for client email monitoring and responding to queries in a timely manner, completion of management accounts by agreed date, completion of VAT returns, all admin required for CIS, completion of CIS deducted, and CIS suffered returns

You will also need to liaise with other team members to ensure the year end accounts are completed, be the main port of call for a wide portfolio of clients, as well as other administration duties as required by TWC and clients, liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients, taking on and managing new clients and look at growing the business through referrals, offering bespoke bookkeeping advice

To be considered for this role, you will have sound knowledge of the construction industry, good knowledge of VAT rates for building trades and hospitality, knowledge of HMRC guidelines, excellent knowledge of Xero (they are a Xero only practice.) and can use Hubdoc.

You will also need to have at least 5 years experience within an accountancy practice and previously been responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ ATT / FMAAT)

They also need you to be competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with accuracy and a high level of attention to detail. Experience of working remotely would also be preferred.

Lastly you will have a 'get stuff done' attitude, with experience in the plumbing and heating industry Highly desirable, with experience of the hospitality sector being great as well!

Hourly pay is between GBP11 - GBP16 per hour depending on experience. They offer a flexible work environment. 20 hours per week will be required during the working week however work pattern is flexible. Adjusting hours to accommodate clients' needs may be necessary.
