The Advertising Creative Technology (ACT) organisation is a team of experts that support a holistic solution set of creative across Verizon Media’s platforms. ACT seeks new ways to innovate for brands by integrating new technologies to build multi-screen digital experiences. From pre-sales ideation to post-sales execution; the team supports everything in between including creative design, development, testing and implementation. The global, cross functional team protects and enables revenue while maintaining the integrity of the user experience across all Verizon Media’s brands.

The role:

Sales Engineering is part of the Global Ad Creative Technology (ACT) organization. Sales Engineering provides pre-sales support for our custom, interactive, personalized and emerging creative ad formats. The team partners with EMEA Sales to pitch creative solutions to advertisers, while providing technical expertise and consultation. 

Sales Engineers serve as the initial point of contact for creative strategy, ad specs, partner management and creative ad innovation. Our focus is on providing the best-in-class creative technology for Verizon Media advertisers by combining rich, immersive experiences with personalized targeting and customized measurement.

As a Sales Engineering Manager you will be a pivotal person in the team, leading on operationalizing and scaling Verizon Media’s Interactive & Personalized products into easily executable solutions for clients. While not a people management position, you will be responsible for driving revenue into the Ad Creative Technology team and managing this revenue stream. Day to day responsibilities will leverage innovative thinking, partner management as well as critical analysis. This role is an ideal fit for someone who enjoys face to face sales meetings. 

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Act as a pre-sales technical and operational consultant for interactive and personalized ad products.
  • Represent the team to global counterparts and lead on multi-market campaigns.
  • Present new ad products, cases studies, ideas and projects externally and to a wide internal audience.
  • Be known as the expert in the team on current industry trends in digital marketing.
  • Develop and manage relationships between partner stakeholders: Sales, Strategists, Media Agencies, Creative Agencies and several internal teams to ensure flawless delivery of exceptional ad products.
  • Work closely with the ACT Creative Solutions Manager to ensure delivery of ad projects from pre-sales and a smooth transition in the management of campaigns.
  • Provide creative guidance, best practice advice, performance reporting, creative expertise & case studies to stakeholders to ensure the best advertising results are achieved. 
  • Collaborate with Sales and advertisers to conceptualize new and innovative ad solutions that we can be proud of. Encourage innovation, conceptualize new ideas and scale new ad products.
  • Represent the Ad Creative Technology group in local markets/verticals to ensure our work and services are of the highest quality. 
  • Evangelize our ad products, ad performance data, and best-in-class ad execution examples. Be an advocate of data discipline & performance benchmarking.

 

Job Requirements:

Essential

  • 5+ years of digital advertising experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the digital advertising landscape and ad formats.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Ability to build & deliver presentations and effectively communicate technical concepts to non technical audiences.
  • Project Management experience - strong time management & organisational skills. Proven ability to take responsibility, set an example and lead others on projects outside of day to day tasks.
  • Creative and solution-oriented when faced with problems and challenges.
  • Ability to analyze complex campaign data and translate into actionable strategy recommendations.
  • Ability to travel to Europe (post pandemic)

Preferable

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, ideally in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Working experience in advertising operations, technical operations, account management or a digital marketing/sales environment.
  • Fluency in another major European language is a bonus (DE, FR, ES, IT).
  • Experience with Ad serving technologies and vendors (Doubleclick, Celtra, Innovid, Sizmek etc.)
