iPSL are looking for 2 Developers to join our team in Northampton on a permanent basis.

Hours & Location
The hours will be 35hrs per week Monday to Friday.  There may be a requirement of ad-hoc on call hours to support key activities of go live milestones and provide critical incident support.  Initially, because of COVID, the role will be full time working from home, and once the restrictions are lifted, there may be a mix of office based and regularly working from home.

Overview
The main purpose of this role is to work within a development team on specific work items assigned by the Development Lead(s). Ideally, you will be fully skilled in .NET & SQL and well versed in the development and testing lifecycles with a proven track record of delivery.

With the ever changing landscape of Cloud technologies, a candidate with a willingness and mind-set to learn and capable of adapting to these changes is essential in order to support the development team strategies for improvement.

Knowledge/Skills Required
The successful candidate will need to have working knowledge of Azure DevOps and be familiar with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Working within the development team, they will also have close relationships with other internal teams and stakeholders to create software that is cohesive through the respective delivery gates including testing and implementation. The Developer will need excellent working knowledge of development and testing lifecycles to provide input into the detail and coverage of Unit testing and perform Unit Testing. You will need to be competent in a variety of programming languages, with working knowledge of .NET, Microsoft Development Platforms & SQL and previous development experience in .Net & SQL. Experience working on software development projects and experience in the finance sector, with payments and cheque clearing is advantageous.

Key Requirements for this Role
 Excellent knowledge of .Net MVC, C# language
 Excellent knowledge working in Azure DevOps using Git and Github.
 SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and SQL Server tables, stored procedures, views and triggers development.
 Working knowledge of PowerShell, Batch scripting and JavaScript.
 Excellent Root Cause Analysis & problem solving skills
