About the service:

We are recruiting an enthusiastic and approachable individual to join our client’s friendly Personalised Support Team (PST) North team in Worksop (Bassetlaw Area). Their project provides supported living accommodation for individuals with Mental Health issues, Learning Difficulties and Autism (some of which are non-verbal).

About the role:

As an Assistant Manager, your role will vary depending on the needs of the project and service users. PST North is a fast paced environment and therefore you will be adaptable to change and resilient in your approach to work.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Participating in the recruitment, selection and induction of new colleagues
  • Line management responsibilities including managing performance where applicable and increasing motivation and productivity
  • Reviewing risk assessments, support plans and set up agreed individual support packages for new service users
  • Planning and administering rotas
  • Helping to maintaining a safe physical environment for colleagues and service users
  • Preparing for and/or completing internal and external audit inspections for the service.

Due to the needs of customers, there may be elements of moving and handling, risk management and physical intervention involved in the role; as such, you will need to be willing and able to undertake these duties. Full training and development will be provided to the successful candidate and there are lots of opportunities to enhance your knowledge including working towards a Level 3 health and social care qualification.

If you are looking for a varied role, you’ve come to the right place!

About you:

You will already have experience of working in care setting and will have gained the practical skills to ensure that the project supports service users through a person centred approach. You will not only be reactive and be capable of dealing with the issues that crop up on a day to day basis but also be proactive by taking on line management responsibilities and coming up with better ways of working to ensure that agreed service standards are maintained. Excellent people management and interpersonal skills are key in this role.

As part of working for PST North, you will be expected to cover absences for various locations across Bassetlaw, Mansfield/Ashfield and Derbyshire as required, which could also include personal care. Therefore, a full valid driving license with access to a vehicle is essential.

“Being a part of the PST North management team is great, we always support each other and our teams work together to get the very best outcomes” – Manager.

All successful candidates will be required to take a work related test prior to the interview.
