Can you provide advice and guidance on all things compliance? Do you enjoy reviewing and interpreting complex rules? Have you got a good understanding of banking regulations? If yes, then we may have the role for you! 

As the Compliance Manager, you will support the business in identifying areas for improvement in the Bank’s systems and controls. You will help areas of the Bank to understand their key risks. As part of your role, you will provide quality regulatory advice, compliance support and positive challenge to enable the business to focus on making sure appropriate customer outcomes and adherence with regulation. 

Depending on the team, most of our roles offer flexible working and you will work remotely temporarily due to COVID-19.

So what would you be doing?...

• Analysing and summarising new and existing regulatory requirements and presenting them in a concise and meaningful way that sets out what it means for the Bank

• Reviewing and preparing summaries of regulatory change for the business and providing advice to help the Bank manage its key risks

• Collaborating with key stakeholders to help strengthen systems and controls by providing advice on relevant processes and procedures

• Enhancing the Bank’s conduct risk MI by providing regulatory and conduct risk insight and recommending changes 

• Building solid relationships with key stakeholders in the first line and with relevant business areas

• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders

• You will have extensive experience of working as a Compliance Manager in a regulatory environment

• It is essential you have knowledge of the FCA/PRA regulatory regimes

• To exceed in this role, you will have a good knowledge and understanding of the FCA Handbook and PRA Rulebook

• You will have experience of providing practical and pragmatic support and guidance to the business in relation to regulatory and conduct matters

• It would be amazing if you have experience supporting Commercial Banking arm of a Retail Bank
