Are you a Financial Crime Specialist with brilliant analytical and report writing skills? Could you support a first line function to deliver fantastic customer service in the right way? As the Financial Crime Risk and Control – QC/QA Specialist, you will support the FCRC Assurance Manager with the development and maintenance of the FCRC Assurance framework. You will perform QC and QA over various FC controls and processes operated by the first line of defence and the lines of business.

 

Depending on the team, most of our roles offer flexible working and you will work remotely temporarily due to COVID-19.

So what would you be doing?...

• Supporting the execution, maintenance and integrity of Metro Bank’s FCRC Assurance Framework

• Testing the output from other teams that perform QC on customer facing distribution channels

• Reviewing financial crime controls and make conclusions on their design adequacy and operating effectiveness

• Performing quality control and quality assurance reviews of key financial crime compliance and other key controls 

• Writing reports detailing findings, highlighting any gaps or non-compliance with the minimum standards and making suggested recommendations 

• Liaising with FCRC Managers and Specialists and other senior stakeholders in the first line of defence to validate your findings and to agree any recommendations and actions 

• Helping to maintain workflow trackers and prepare regular progress reports

• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders

• You must have an understanding of financial crime risks and how they can adversely affect both the Bank and our customers

• It is essential you have knowledge of QC/QA frameworks and sampling and testing methodologies

• You need to have an understanding of financial crime frameworks and the end to end customer lifecycle

• To exceed in this role, you need the ability to perform control testing against a defined process and control using a QA methodology with guidance and standards
