The Operational automation team are a small highly experience team in both networking and programming and work to deliver automation's to the NMC and other Operational teams to improve day to day efficiency and fix times and removed human error from daily repetitive tasks. The tools developed are critical to the running of these operational teams and their daily maintenance tasks. The tools developed are primarily written in Python or developed in our automation platform from resolve which uses groovy.


What you'll do:

- Develop Python applications from initial concept through to a completed deliverable solution
- Maintain, update and enhance applications that have been written within the team.
- Use Docker, GIT and other tools to develop , test and deploy code quickly and efficiently.
- Work with technical experts in their field to document processes and design tools to improve daily operational efficiency.
- Develop and Use API's to share data across various platforms.


What you'll bring:

- An excellent proven track record developing advanced Python applications within a small team working with databases and large quantities of data.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug applications written in various languages (The key one's being Python and Perl)
- An excellent knowledge into Docker and containers with previous experience of migration tools into a containerised environment
- Develop effective simple user interfaces, replacing Command line complexity.
- I good understanding of Networking will be essential as well as a understanding Unix administration in Redhat and/or Ubuntu.
- Good team collaboration and the ability to proactive research and solve issues will be essential.
