Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant - Part Time

We are looking for an experienced part-time bookkeeper/administrative assistant to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting, administrative and compliance requirements. Excellent organisational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, with an attention to detail. The role would suit a candidate who would like to work in a small company environment.

Main responsibilities and duties:

• To provide Bookkeeping, Administrative and Compliance support to the CBC Group
• Liaison with finance director, associated companies, external auditors and compliance consultants
• Suppliers/Salespersons: payments, processing on SAGE, bank account reconciliation, filing
• Clients: issuing invoices, processing on SAGE, reconciling invoices with the client database, chasing payment, bank account reconciliation, filing, record keeping and correspondence, maintaining and updating the client database
• Expense processing
• Quarterly VAT returns
• Annual P11D preparation
• Assisting with FCA Reporting
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• General support

Skills:

•  Excellent accounts and administrative skills gained within a finance environment
•  FCA reporting and compliance experience would be useful
•  Computer literate
•  High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
•  Knowledge of the following packages is critical:
  • SAGE Accounting Software
  • ACT! (or similar CRM software)
  • Microsoft Excel
  •  Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Powerpoint
