Insight and Impact Researcher

We are looking for a passionate Insight and Impact Researcher to join an award-winning Centre for Social Innovation

You will be working for an iconic and dynamic charity, providing first-class solutions to environmental challenges. For more than 60 years, they have campaigned for cleaner, greener places and delivered programmes aimed at encouraging organisations and individuals to reduce their environmental impact. The work of the charity has never been more informed, important and urgent.

Position: Insight and Impact Researcher

Location: Wigan or London (with occasional travel across England) with the flexibility to work remotely part of the time.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (30 hours per week will be considered and/or with flexible working arrangements).

Salary: £28,694 for Wigan and £30,694 for London (Pro-Rata)

Contract: Permanent

About the role:

This is a great opportunity for an Insight and Impact Researcher to work in a dynamic team delivering an exciting portfolio of work and across a leading environmental charity delivering real change.

You will support the effective monitoring and evaluation of projects and programmes and conduct specific pieces of research on behalf of the charity and its teams.

About you:

As Insight and Impact Researcher you will have an excellent understanding of the importance of monitoring and evaluation, knowledge of research methodologies and is passionate about data and evidence.

Key skills and experience include:

 

  • Direct experience of monitoring and evaluation at organisational and/or programme level
  • Knowledge of research methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, research and report writing skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of sampling and statistical analysis and experience in using Microsoft Excel for this purpose
  • Strong project management skills and experience

 

Due to the nature of some of the projects you will need to have an ability and willingness to work (occasional) evenings and weekends as required and to spend short periods of time away from home as required for project work or special events.
