Supporter Acquisition Manager

We are currently looking for an Acquisition Manager to oversee the planning, delivery and evaluation of the acquisition of donors across all channels and propositions, managing a team of four to deliver an annual income target of over £9 million to the charity by 2023.

Position: Acquisition Manager

Location: Based in Sidmouth, Devon – “an area of outstanding natural beauty”

Hours: Full-time 35 hours a week (part-time considered)

Salary: £37,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Benefits: Generous annual leave, pension scheme, Healthshield plan, confidential counselling service, subsidised restaurant, free parking, enhanced maternity/paternity benefits, Life Assurance Scheme, 31 day’s holiday per year, inclusive of the 8 statutory public holidays. This increases by one day each year until a maximum of 34 days is reached.

The organisation is at an important stage in their fundraising strategy, having achieved considerable growth in the last 5 years. They are investing significantly in their fundraising team to help them towards their ambition of reaching £50m income by 2023.

The Role

The Acquisition Manager will be responsible for leading and supporting the acquisition team effectively in the development and delivery of an extensive programme of innovative supporter recruitment campaigns to meet the requirements of the fundraising strategy and the charity’s strategic objectives, to be responsible for annual strategic donor acquisition planning whilst also applying a test and learn strategy to ensure that the acquisition programme continues to grow and develop generating predicted income and recruitment volumes for the charity and to liaise with peers to generate cross-departmental campaigns that will feed into the acquisition programme.

To be successful within this role you will need to have advance knowledge of acquisition techniques in fundraising, extensive project management experience coupled with strong influencing and negotiation expertise.
