This is a great opportunity for you to join our Risk Management Group, an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed.

The Enterprise Support Projects & Change team is responsible for governance of the Risk Management Group-wide project portfolio and delivery of key risk projects.

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to partner with our Operational Risk division to provide support in delivering the extensive project portfolio. The role will involve working with colleagues across Risk regionally and globally to deliver strategic solutions striving to strengthen the Op Risk and Governance target operating model.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working with project leads, engagement with stakeholders to elicit and analyse business needs, producing strawman proposals.
  • Identifying and documenting improvements to frameworks, processes, and tools
  • Assessing solution options in order to develop recommendations with associated business cases.
  • Working closely with delivery teams across the lifecycle to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and deliver desired outcomes.
  • Assisting in preparation of Steering Committee, Working Group & Business Case packs
  • Identifying, communicating and managing risks to solution delivery.

You will bring with you:

  • Prior experience as a Business Analyst & able to demonstrate strong analytical skills combined with the ability to view the bigger picture
  • Previous experience in the operational risk, entity governance, non-financial risk domain of a financial institution is desirable
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build strong, effective relationships
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a geographically dispersed team with global stakeholders
  • Ability to flex and adapt approach based on the initiative and stakeholders.

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Behavioural Risk, Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs and Aggregate Risk, and RMG Enterprise Support.
