The Maiden Erlegh Trust seeks to recruit two new non-executive directors with experience in primary education leadership and/or law to the board. Board meetings are currently held virtually but will be held at RG6 7HS, when safe to do so.

The Academy Ambassadors programme brings the expertise of the business world onto boards at multi-academy trusts (MATs) throughout the country to raise standards of education and improve the life chances of young people, which is critical to our social and economic success.

The opportunity

Maiden Erlegh Trust is committed to delivering "opportunity, diversity and success for all" young people in Berkshire and the surrounding area.

Maiden Erlegh Trust was established in October 2014, when we received approval to open a new free school to serve the needs of students in East Reading. Maiden Erlegh School in Reading opened its doors to students in September 2015.

Since then, the trust has welcomed Great Hollands Primary School (Bracknell), Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge (Sonning Common), Hamilton School (Reading) and Cranbury College (Reading) into the Trust.

The board seeks three business leaders with board level experience in
