Publishing Development Executive

We are looking for a Publishing Development Executive who has an understanding of the print process and can manage and grow customer account.

Position: Publishing Development Executive (Bible Production)

Location: Swindon (M4 corridor)

Hours: Part-time 30 hours per week

Salary: £30,500 to £35,000 pro rata plus flexible benefits

Contract: Permanent

The Role

The Production Coordinator will manage and grow designated customer accounts, which are currently about £1m, providing exceptional and contributing to improving processes, systems, and the service offer, taking a lead particularly on improving the service offer.

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Manage directly a turnover and associated margins on Bibles and New Testaments for Bible Societies
  • Manage all aspects of production cycle from enquiry, creating product specification, supplying price and managing production through to delivery and supplying invoice
  • Calculate and report on appropriate royalties on designated customer accounts
  • Ensure that all materials sent to suppliers meet appropriate technical standards
  • Ensure that print materials supplied are correctly licenced for the specified purpose
  • Proactively engage with others in Publishing to develop the service offer

 

About You

You will be organised, accurate and high-performing, good at detail and with an ability to connect well with clients and inspire them with confidence in you. You'll be committed to growing the circulation and use of the Bible through maintaining the highest production and delivery standards. Self-motivated and a team player, you'll be enthusiastic about this significant role.

You will have:

 

  • Demonstrable knowledge of print processes and book binding
  • A basic understanding of licensing, IP and copyright matters or a willingness to learn
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience of customer account management
  • Experience of creative input into product specification to ensure the best outcome for the customer in their market as well as cost effectiveness in production
