Hays Senior Finance are partnered exclusively with a Government body in the Central belt of Scotland looking to appoint a part time Finance Business business partner. This is a Fantastic opportunity up to 3 days per week supporting a Job share within the wider team. Our client is going through significant transformational change and require an experienced Finance Business partner to bridge the gap between finance and wider operations.

This is a remote role on a 1 year contract with possibility for extension. Our client are a flexible and agile business offering a great benefits package of GBP42,000 - GBP46,000 + generous pension, holidays and remote working. This role would suit an experienced Commercial accountant with Project and change exposure that they are looking to utilise on a part time basis.

Your new role
The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for proving business support and management accounting advice and guidance to a wide stakeholder base. The FBP will work with baseline financial data, utilising modelling techniques across revenue and capital funding requirements on a range of projects. There will be an emphasis on the redesigning of service areas and this individual with work with senior management across the organisation to identify opportunities for redesign and the impacts across people, processes and reporting requirements. This is a hugely commercial role for the finance business partner to support with budgeting, forecasting, cost saving and bringing in positive change.

This role will prepare business cases, dashboard reporting and work across various workstreams to support this change programme. You will be an active stakeholder in these projects bridging the gap effectively between finance and the business.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully Qualified Accountant ideally with experience working with a change/project environment within a complex finance structure. You will be experienced in driving performance through analysing management information and working with a range of departments, business areas to impact results. You will have a genuine interest in working with colleagues and presenting MI in a meaningful way and will enjoy a varied and fast paced workload.
