What is the purpose of this role?

Support Project Managers in the successful delivery of projects to programme and within budget.

What will this role involve?

Coordinate project meetings, record and follow-up resulting actions, control update and amend project logs Be responsible, directly and/or indirectly, for conducting post implementation reviews and audits in pursuit of continuous improvement Negotiate with and positively influencing customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders Act decisively to rectify any adverse circumstances that threaten the delivery of the agreed programme Maximise operating efficiency, reducing waste, maximising margins and implementing agreed changes when opportunities arise Manage the production and storage of project documentation in order to effectively document, manage, monitor and report on allocated projects Undertake any other reasonable task as requested

What are we looking for?

GCSE or equivalent grade C or above in Maths and English Able to work flexible (sometimes long) hours to meet project requirements A high level of expertise in the use of software applications such as MS Project, MS Visio, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook Project Management terminology Basic Financial and Commercial terminology Able to successfully set-up and run a project office Experienced coordinating and successfully supporting projects with a range of stakeholders Experience of working successfully in a diverse team in a matrix environment Proactive with a constructive approach and excellent planning, coordination and organisational skills Environmental awareness Tool Box talk IOSH working safely
