Job description

DRG is a core central HR service supporting the Department for Transport (DfT) and its executive agencies with their recruitment activity. We are here to equip managers with the up to date recruitment tools to help them attract the right people with the right skills at the right time.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the DfT family to deliver polished, bespoke recruitment campaigns. Liaising with your Resourcing Partners and subject matter experts across DRG, you will build tailored solutions to sourcing and hiring that meet our business strategic requirements.

We would love someone to join us who can ‘see the bigger picture’ and work closely to pick up work from other business units as needed.

Working within a small team of Campaign Managers, you will be responsible for a significant amount of administration work and you will ensure service level agreements are met by completing your own work to a high standard. You will support a number of shared tasks also including answering queries and issuing contracts of employment.

You will be a highly resilient individual with a strong customer service ethos. You will thrive in a fast-paced operational service delivery environment and be a strong advocate for change recognising the benefits of continuous improvement and identifying better ways of working.
 

Responsibilities

Role Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Providing a consultative service either in person or over the phone in a professional and personable manner
• Offering expert advice and recommendations to improve the attraction and selection of good quality candidates
• Working alongside Resourcing Partners make valuable contributions to the management of all recruitment campaigns, including apprenticeships
• Engaging enthusiastically and consistently with your Business Units, HR Business Partners, vacancy holders and key business leads
• Working in partnership with the Attraction team at DRG to build creative attraction strategies to find the highest quality of candidates

About you

You’ll have outstanding interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport with your customers and pride yourself on your strong customer service ethos.

Time management and organisational skills are vital; you’ll be resilient and professional when working to deadlines whilst managing your own workload.

You’ll be a team player with an eye for detail and be IT literate and comfortable using and learning about new systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are key when creating recruitment recommendations and supporting your customers with various recruitment queries.
