This role is an exciting opportunity to join us and work within Sky's Technology Strategic Services as a Senior Governance & Risk Analyst.

The Group Cyber Security function, encompassing the Governance Risk & Compliance function within Sky's Technology Strategic Services, is responsible for ensuring that Sky has the right strategy in place for I.S. Security; one that ensures Sky is addressing its key cyber risks and maintaining a robust cyber resilience posture.

What you'll do:

- The Governance and Risk team is a specialist team ensuring that appropriate governance and I.S. Security risk management is in place at all levels of the I.S. Security organisation as well as the wider Sky Security teams.

- Working across all territories including Sky Germany, Italy and the UK, the Governance and Risk team provides strategic and operational input into all aspects of technology risk.

- They will be able to demonstrate experience identifying and developing effective governance and risk processes through the analysis of risk, interpretation of impact, business requirements as well as writing risk and information systems security policies, standards and guidelines.

- The role will require the managing of changes to the Sky published security policies and standards, ensuing that they are fit for purpose and reviewed regularly as well as the day-to-day management of the cyber risk register, ensuring that key risks across the group are consolidated, assessed and considered with the cyber strategy.

- Whilst not owning the risk they will work with technology teams to understand their risk exposure and suggest remediation and risk reduction options.

- The successful candidate will conduct regular risk and security controls reviews, create and maintain regular control and risk metrics and dashboards across the Sky Group,.

- They will also be required to liaise between the GRC department and other various Sky departments.

- This is an exciting time for the team, with cyber security and protection of information and content a key focus at Board level.

What you'll bring:

- This role requires a first-class Senior Governance and Risk Analyst with considerable experience in risk management within the information security industry and familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, CIS, GDPR, and PECR. The successful candidate will understand the potential consequences and significance, to Sky and its customers, for non-compliance to defined internal polices and externally mandated regulation.

- They will be a process-driven, self-motivated and well organised individual with excellent analytical skills and initiative. They will be someone who thrives in an environment of change and is happy to challenge the status quo, when appropriate. They will be comfortable with continuous improvement working to agreed objectives, targets and timescales.

- The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, both written, including PowerPoint, and verbal, with the ability to articulate and author reports, presentations, make recommendations and prepare similar written communications.

- A team player with clear business acumen the role requires someone with the skills, patience, pragmatism and ability to accept rebuffs and setbacks without undue rancour, strong problem solving skills, and good judgemental skills to solve problems and make recommendations
