As a Commercial Planning Manager, you will build commercial forecasts and plans in conjunction with our data science and commercial teams. Your work will underpin resourcing across Retention and Upgrades campaigns in the contact centres. You will collaborate with Base Management and the TV, Broadband and Mobile teams to provide forecasts and plans that form the basis for product growth and commercial value driven by the business. Using your view of forecast activity you will help business readiness and quarterly plans and annual budget.


What you'll do:

* Responsible for planning and forecasting for in-quarter through to long-range plans for our key sales and retention Voice & Digital estates
* Collaborate closely and lead on prioritisation of our forecast development roadmap with our Data Science teams in building machine-learned forecasting and planning models
* Utilise forecasting data and insight to produce analyses and commercial recommendations for cohorts & trends requiring commercial focus - to reduce churn/cost, increase revenue and/or drive product upgrades
* Collaborate with our Trading, Performance, Customer Service, Data, and Finance teams to maintain trading momentum and deliver our quarterly and yearly commercial target and deliver commercial forecasting to our Finance teams to undertake decision support and financial planning
* Provide our commercial product teams and contact centre resource planning teams with insight to underpin business planning and readiness extending to quarterly planning and annual budgeting
* Recommend the most effective planning strategies that can improve net revenue change - engaging optimally with our Base Management, commercial product and Trading teams to identify innovative commercial initiatives


What you'll bring:

* Commercially aware and numerate, able to size commercial planning opportunities and influence your network to keep us focused on what's important
* Brilliant at translating customer insight into trading and commercial planning considerations that drive momentum and strong business performance
* Strong analytical skills and be confident using Microsoft Excel, Tableau and PowerPoint - producing packs and materials that cut through complexity and lead straight to a decision.
* Excellent at collaborating with several stakeholders, and skilled at communicating up, down and across the organisation
* Confident presenting your recommendations to both big and small audiences - producing presentation packs that are slick and easy to understand, and articulating their content in a way that drives effective stakeholder engagement
* Ideally, you'll have previous experience in planning and forecasting
