Do you want to be part of a talented global team with specialist expertise? Are you instinctively entrepreneurial and ambitious in nature? If you're determined to succeed we can help you reach your potential.  At Macquarie, we look for innovative, driven and talented people who share our drive for excellence.

Macquarie Capital’s Infrastructure Investment and Development team specialises in investing our own capital in smart, sustainable infrastructure projects, and companies. We sponsor the development of landmark projects that strengthen communities by creating new digital, transport and social infrastructure. We also offer flexible, partnership capital to infrastructure companies to help fund capital expenditure, business expansions and acquisitions. Examples include the EUR 1bn A9 Road PPP in Amsterdam, the EUR 80m private multiclient water desalination project in the Port of Antwerp, a 2m customer fibre company in Spain and retirement living projects in the UK.

By joining as an entry level Analyst you'll become an integral member of the team and you’ll embark on a structured program to kick start your career. Starting with a Macquarie wide orientation, your career development will continue with on-the-job training and the opportunity to build your network. You'll be sitting side-by-side with business leaders, learning on the job, making a difference and working on live projects and transactions.

You’ll be fully trained to conduct financial analysis from day one, including developing and running financial models in Excel and performing company valuations under the oversight of experienced team members. You can also expect to review due diligence materials (such as market forecasts, technical, insurance and legal due diligence reports) to identify risks and business value drivers as well as preparing materials for external meetings and pitch books for winning new business. You will develop the full range of financial modelling and commercial skills that come from an investment banking role at a world-class financial institution, laying the foundations for an exceptional career in financial services

You will be expected to have an excellent academic track-record, demonstrable financial modelling skills and knowledge of the broader Benelux landscape & deal processes.  Additionally, you will have excellent written and spoken English as well as fluency in Dutch, and knowledge of German would also be advantageous.

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
