What you'll do:

 

- Underwriting commercial insurance policies with delegated authority from the insurer
- Monitoring binder performance and ensuring a robust binder plan is fit for purpose, agreed and implemented into the business
- Creating monthly reports against actions detailed in binder/bridge
- Delivering accurate and timely work in line within agreed service standards
- Proactively proposing ways of improving products and procedures
- Undertaking Underwriting Technical Quality Assurance QA for staff in accordance with agreed numbers
- Adopting a welcoming approach to change and remain adaptable to new ideas and practices
- Working with line manager to ensure all products wording, schedules and associated supporting documents are complete and compliant
- Contributing to product launches to ensure they are comprehensive, documented and include all relevant parties and that teams are fully briefed and clearly understand the product range.

 


What you'll bring:

 

- Minimum of 5 years experience of insurance underwriting
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance
- Works well under pressure
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There's also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
