We're looking for a Corporate Communications Manager here at Lloyds Banking Group!


The Communications team is at the heart of the business' communications and plays a crucial role to help the Group achieve its goals. The team sits within the Group Corporate Affairs function. We ensure Lloyds Banking Group is known for helping Britain recover by providing the insight, counsel and challenge our leaders need to deliver the Group's strategic objectives and delivering best in class communications to our internal and external audiences


What you'll be doing:

  • Act as a source of professional expertise providing communications/engagement /consultancy advice to stakeholders and business areas within the Group.
  • Approve, edit and write content for a range of more complex communications using appropriate channels to ensure clarity and consistency of message.
  • Where applicable, build, maintain and influence external relationships within own area of specialism providing appropriate briefs in line with Group objectives.
  • Provide corporate affairs input to support delivery of projects or where appropriate deliver projects and initiatives which may have some complexity within own specialism.
  • Where applicable, handle activity of suppliers to ensure service standards are met.
  • Provides a flexible approach to support other roles and other teams across the function at times of peak activity or competing priorities.
  • Identify, escalate and mitigate emerging risks as appropriate to protect the reputation and interests of the Group and colleagues.
  • Positively influence others by demonstrating core LBG values and behaviours and where appropriate, manage, develop and motivate colleagues to support a high performing team.
  • Manage self and, where appropriate, own team in the context of relevant risk policies and frameworks.
  • Support agreed change projects to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable challenging and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Able to deputise for senior colleagues
  • Consistently deals with complex projects in terms of scale, scope and specialism
  • Will lead on specific projects or reviews within a broader area of specialism
  • Recognised by peers as a high level subject matter expert - ability to be sole representative for the area


What we need from you to be considered...

  • Experience working directly with C-Suite Executives
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with experience in speechwriting
  • Experience working in video production
  • Experience working across audiences both internal and external
