The Senior E-Discovery Investigations Advisor is a specialist role within the digital space here at the Department for Transport. In this role you will play a key part in managing, storing, archiving and recovering crucial documentation and information. You will have line management responsibility to a junior staff member, experience in giving guidance and engaging with stakeholders and have understanding in using E-Discovery tooling and software.
Role Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Using advanced software tools and search techniques to ensure that DfT finds all data relevant to any legitimate request or requirement
• Applying in-depth technical knowledge of software applications and tools available to ensure preservation of data integrity e.g. when searching or migrating data
• Providing assurance on the effective use of digital storage facilities by monitoring current usage and trends
• Supporting the Digital Assurance Manager in promoting and ensuring compliance with DfT and wider government’s information assurance policies and strategies
• Line-managing one data assurance advisor
• Continuously building and developing the required skills and capabilities of people within their own area of responsibility
To be successful in this role you will have experience working within a similar role and have existing experience using E-Discovery tools and software. You will have leadership qualities and be able to work with stakeholders of all levels across the Department for Transport including working with legal departments. Experience with streamlining search requests, trend analysis and policy reviewing would be advantageous.
