Our client, a family owned business in Bridgend, is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to manage the accounts of the company, manage invoices and payroll.

Support and assist the business to achieve its objectives and general office duties.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Complete VAT return
  • Work with Office Manager in managing sales invoices
  • Assisting with fortnightly cash flow forecast
  • Performing bank reconciliations
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, chasing unpaid invoices and refer where appropriate
  • Paying suppliers
  • Process monthly payroll
  • Prepare reports as requested
  • Undertake other activities as requested by Director

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

  • Must have working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll
  • Previous experience of Book Keeping
  • Ability to prepare monthly budget updates and communicate
  • Excellent record keeping and organisation
  • Interpersonal skills, especially building rapport and relationships
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Flexible approach
  • Personal confidence, professional and self belief
  • Comes up with ideas for improvement

This is a part time role (30 hours) and there is flexibility on how the hours are carried out.
