Reed is exclusively managing the recruitment of a permanent Finance Manager for a client within the local charitable sector.

This is a genuinely excellent opportunity to develop and implement a highly effective and efficient finance function that will continue to deliver services to a wide a variety of clients across a number of sectors.

The primary purpose of this role is to manage a small team whilst leading the development and implementation of an outsourced bookkeeping services to external clients. The successful candidate will lead best practice. General responsibilities include:

  • People & Performance Management
  • Financial Reporting and Budgeting
  • Accounting Systems and Controls
  • Statutory Reporting
  • Management of External stakeholders

Essential Criteria:

Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, CIPFA, CA, ACCA);

Previous staff management within a finance function;

5 GCSE's with grade A* - C in Maths and English or equivalent;

Working knowledge of Sage Payroll and Sage Line 50 (*preferred);

Strong working knowledge of funding and reporting to funders;

A minimum of 3 years post qualification practical experience;

Experience of leading and managing a finance department including the development of staff;

Strong working knowledge of the Finance System (AR, AP, Payments, Cash Management, Payroll and GL);

Experience of developing workflows and implementing processes to meet policy and service requirements.
