Assistant Manager

Do you have experience working in a social care setting and leading a team? We are seeking an Assistant Manager to manage a team across two sites in the centre of Northampton

Saxon Court and Lyttleton Road supports individuals with a wide range of support needs, including learning disabilities, Autism, physical disabilities and complex needs.

Location: Northampton

Salary: £21,555 - £25,668 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week, full time. on a rota basis including earlies, lates, weekends and bank holidays. Occasional waking nights may be required, for which a bonus will be paid.

About the role:

The organisation provides support to individuals in their own flats, supporting with daily living activities, including personal and intimate care when required, and engagement in the local community. Both services are focused on supporting individuals to achieve measurable outcomes and increasing independence and daily living skills.

You'd be joining an established management team, helping to manage a team across both sites in the centre of Northampton.

As an Assistant Manager, you will:

 

  • Take responsibility for key aspects of support delivery to ensure continued compliance with CQC and commissioning requirements
  • Deliver regular supervision and support sessions with Support Workers and act as a mentor to ensure that colleagues develop their skills and knowledge
  • Support with recruitment and inducting new colleagues to ensure that they are aware of their legal and contractual obligations and responsibilities

 

About you:

As our Assistant Manager, you will have the following skills and experience:

 

  • Experience and relevant knowledge working in a social care setting
  • Experience leading a team
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • The ability to support and guide staff to deliver a quality service
  • The flexibility to work a range of different shifts, covering 7am to 7pm Monday to Sunday

Please note that due to the needs of the customers, there may be an element of moving and handling involved in the role; as such, you will need to be willing and able to undertake these duties.
