The Chief of Staff is a critical role, supporting our Chief Executive, UK, Europe and Middle East to drive strategic initiatives and projects. The Chief of Staff is responsible for enabling the conditions required for business development to deliver its business effectively and efficiently. Reporting to the Chief Executive, UK and Europe and sitting on the NGUKL Leadership Team, the Chief of Staff will need to work collaboratively with teams and functions across NG and externally to enable efficient operations.Key ResponsibilitiesThe main tasks and responsibilities of this job are as follows:
Managing the governance for NG Corporate in the UK, Europe and Middle East
Supporting the CEO (working with other key Directors) on issues of strategy, planning, Business Development, corporate issues and government relatiions
Ensures that the key processes for operating are clearly defined with Terms of Reference in place for key internal management meetings and coordinates these
Managing the Annual Planning cycle with BD team and Strategy Director
Compiling and co-ordinating management reports for the CEO - including drafting monthly reports for corporate and key Board / ELT presentations with the CEO / team
Organising and serving as the Secretary to the Regional Executive, European Advisory Board and Business Development Reviews
Leading on BD-related budgeting and providing ad hoc support to special projects
Essential Criteria
Demonstrable experience within the defence and security industry.
An experienced and proven individual, ideally within a matrix environment with experience of influencing senior peers. The ability to effectively navigate the matrix structure, working collaboratively with the appropriate stakeholders to bring about the effects desired is a critical skill in the successful execution of this role.
Clearly demonstrable experience, objective setting and management, risk and opportunity management, financial acumen, analysis and stakeholder management.
An individual whom is looking to play a major part in supporting business growth and operational maturity.
Excellent communicator who can provide clear and concise messaging both externally to customers and internally within Northrop Grumman.
A collaborative individual with the confidence and integrity to earn stakeholders' confidence.
Excellent problem solving, influencing, negotiation and organisational skills.
Adept at dealing with competing priorities and deadlines at a leadership level.

Travel requirements:. Occasional UK and international travel may be required.
Clearance requirements: Must hold or be eligible to hold SC clearance.
Valid UK passport and driving licence.
