Pratap Partnership are working exclusively with a growing manufacturing business in the North Doncaster/Goole area in their search for an accomplished Financial Controller.
The suitable applicant will be required to manage the day to day accounts function of a division of a UK wide business. You will be the number one finance person on site, reporting into the Group Finance Director with overall responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the accounting operations.
Key duties include:
Managing the accounting operations including transactional, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition.
Preparing and publishing timely monthly management accounts including commentary
Creating monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
Streamlining and improving accounting systems and operations; recommendation and implementation of new policies and procedures
Interrogation of the bill of materials and costing system
Understanding of the whole costing process and the ability to delve into any costing and inventory issues and report fully
Overseeing the management of cash flow and debt collection
Aid in the preparation of financial forecasts for the business
Supervising and managing financial department staff
Managing the audit process and liaising with external personnel as required
Assisting the FD and MD in the preparation of financial presentations to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant (or nearing completion of their studies), be happy to roll up their sleeves and get involved with the whole finance function . You will be confident and an effective communicator, able to work closely with people across the whole organisation from operational personnel through to board.
Part time and flexible hours also available. The business is easily accessible from Doncaster, the M18 and the M62
