Our client a highly successful business that work's in a really fun and interesting industry are currently recruiting for a Part Time Payroll Administrator due to growth. The role is based in Woking, Surrey.
Our clients ideal is 3 full days a week Monday to Wednesday, however they are also happy to consider 5 half days and other options so if you're looking for a part time payroll position please apply and we can discuss further
Job Description
You will work as part of a Payroll Team, reporting into the Payroll Manager. You will Working in a busy environment, responsible for processing end to end payroll for around 3,500 staff on a weekly and monthly basis. You will actively support the HR team by efficiently supporting the development of our capability to ensure systems are in place across the payroll function to meet the needs of a continually changing and evolving business.
This role is based in our Woking office.
Key responsibilities
Processing a share of the UK payrolls for around 3,500 staff.
Ensuring that end to end payroll is administered accurately within set time periods.
Ensuring that all internal / external compliance is adhered to.
Carrying out weekly transfer process for both weekly and monthly staff and sorting errors accordingly.
Processing bank lines where necessary.
Processing of all statutory payments through payroll, including SSP, SMP, SPP and SHPP.
Downloading and applying employee tax codes.
Processing all manual expenses.
Supporting the ongoing development of the payroll system, ensuring it stays abreast of employment legislation and the various collective bargaining agreements in place.
Resolving employee payroll queries, ensuring that high standards of customer service are delivered.
Working closely with the HR team, Managers and Administrators offering a support and advisory service for payroll queries.
The Successful Applicant
Experienced payroll professional.
Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience in managing computer software and payroll systems.
Previous experience of processing high volume payroll is desirable
Computer literate with excel skills.
Logical thinking and problem-solving ability.
