We are a well-established and accredited firm of Chartered Accountants and Auditors based in Aldershot providing a comprehensive range of auditing and accountancy services to a variety of clients. We are now seeking an additional Audit/Accounts Senior on a part time basis working 2 or 3 days a week - we require candidates who have worked in Practice, is fully qualified ACA or ACCA and who has been responsible for the planning and completion of Audits for at least 5 years.

We offer business and personal tax planning and advisory services to assist small businesses, large companies and individuals in the running of their business and tax affairs, across Surrey and Hampshire.
The role would suit someone looking to reduce their hours or someone returning to work.

We are seeking candidates to work 2 or 3 full days a week but can be flexible on which days are worked but our normal working days are Monday - Thursday 9-.5.30 and Friday's 8.30am-5pm we offer an excellent salary of circa GBP37,500 pro rata equivalent to cGBP19 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package including company pension, healthcare and 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays) and on-street parking.

Reporting directly to the Partners and working within an office of 8 staff, the role of Audit/Accounts Senior is pivotal in the function and success of the business, with 20-30% of the role being audit. The main duties of the role include:
• Planning, carrying out and completing statutory audits and building the practice audit facility
• Reporting directly to partner
• Preparation of statutory accounts
• Knowledge of corporation tax
• Ad-hoc specialised financial reporting tasks, builds good rapport with the client, with a clear understanding of client expectations and achieving high levels of client service
• Provides general support to clients in the provision of tax advice
• Regularly attends meetings; when appropriate, answering client queries
• Supports partners on tax planning and other ad hoc projects
• Can produce a well supported piece of technical research
• Assists with the production of tax reports and reviewing documents
• Acts as a point of contact on specific projects for any queries from the business
• Demonstrates sufficient technical knowledge to undertake relevant area of work
• Accounts preparation for sole traders, companies, partnerships, societies and charities
• Preparation of simple corporation tax computations
• Providing advice to owner managers on both business and personal tax matters
• Travelling to client premises as required
• Achieving or exceeding assignment budgeted fees and profits and/or identifying reasons for non-achievement of budgets as appropriate
• Keeping senior management/engagement partner fully informed at all times of progress on jobs, in particular if there is likely to be an unplanned write off
• Carrying out review work on accounts and other assignments prepared by team members when required
• Any ad hoc assignments or tasks

To be successful for the role of Audit/Accounts Senior you will be fully qualified ACA or ACCA and have been responsible for the planning and completion of Audits for at least 5 years with experience of working in Practice.
