PART TIME PURCHSE/ SALES LEDGER CLERK

HOURS: 9.30 - 2.30

SALARY GBP10.50

My client is an extremely well known family run food manufacturing firm who are recognised as one of Europe's leading manufacturers. They have been in business for over 60 years and over the last six decades have expanded and developed their business to the success that it is today!

Due to their growth, they are looking for a part time Purchase OR Sales Ledger clerk to be based in their head office in Newcastle Under Lyme where you will be integrated as part of an open-plan, friendly office with a growing finance team, where you will be responsible for overseeing; sales and purchase ledger for their business.

Duties will include:

* Processing high volumes of sales and purchase ledger invoices
* Matching, batching and coding invoices
* Raising invoices
* Raising debit and credit notes
* Statement reconciliations
* Aged debt reporting
* Query resolution
* Responding to queries
* Using Excel
* Use CODA system - NO SYSTEM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, BUT WOULD BE DESIRABLE IF YOU CAN USE VARIOUS SYSTEMS
* You will deal with the credit sales and debtors
* Update purchase ledger records
* Credit purchases transactions and creditors' information
* At the end of a specific period, these ledgers are summarized and the total amounts are recorded in respective control accounts
* Elevation Accountancy & Finance would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

You will ideally have;

* Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger experience
* Strong Excel skills
* A high level of communication skills
* Able to work confidently
* Experience working with systems (Advantageous)
