At Direct Line Group we support thousands of customers with their insurance needs each and every day. Whether it's through simple amends to their policy, talking through their options or just helping to put things right. Our Customer Advisor roles are at the heart of what we do!

Our salary package starts from GBP21,255 pro-rata (includes 9% pension contribution), plus an opportunity to earn an additional bonus up to GBP4,200 per year pro-rata.

Part time shifts

16 - 32 hours per week - minimum shift span 3 hours
80% of your shift will be fixed but must fall within Monday 9am - 12pm, Monday to Friday 4.30pm - 9pm, Saturday 9am - 5pm and Sunday 10am - 5pm (must include 1 weekend day at least 5 hours and at least 2 days must end at 9pm)
The remaining hours (20%) is not fixed, you will select these hours 2 weeks in advance, from options supplied by our planning team, in response to customer demand. These may vary each week.

What you'll be doing:

You may already know about our brands and some of the Insurance products we offer, but in our Leeds team they support customers with insurance for their businesses, their own home life, as well as roadside recovery and or even with a claim when something may have gone wrong!

You're going to be taking calls, helping with queries, finding the right product for their needs or you may need to keep them safe on the roadside when they have broken down or with claim which is upsetting for many. You'll need to be a great listener; be able to adapt your approach and most importantly just be there to support our customers when they need us most.

Some days can be a little bit busy, but the team are absolutely outstanding, and we're proud of our DLG team culture.

What we're looking for:

No matter what stage of your career you are at we offer full training and support in these roles, so you really don't need experience. But if you do have experience there is plenty of opportunity for future development and learning.

Our customer service teams are available between Monday - Friday 08:00 - 21:15, Saturday 09:00 - 17:00 and Sunday 10:00 - 17:00. Our Roadside Rescue shifts can often be between 7am and 10pm Monday to Sunday. We pay additional shift allowances for consultants that are required to work unsociable hours so that we are here when our customers need us. In these roles you'll work shifts across these days which we'll share more about during your application. However, with our mixed model way of working you'll have great work life balance. Minimum of 16 hours per week with a requirement to work evenings and weekends.

How much you'll be in the office depends on your role and our customer facing teams will have scheduled office time, as well as days where you can ditch the commute and work from home. All you'll need when working from home is an internet connection and a quiet space to work. We'll provide you with everything else, from a tailored training academy to a technology bundle to suit your needs. Some basic IT skills will be really helpful.
