We are looking to appoint an excellent Teacher of Chemistry to take up the post immediately or from January 2022.

The successful applicant will report to the Deputy Headteacher and will have overall responsibility for teaching and learning, achievement and attainment of their subject within the Science department.

We are looking for someone who will work with their departmental colleagues to inspire our highly motivated students and develop their love for their subject, leading them to explore it and value it for their whole life.

This person is responsible for the organisation of the delivery of Chemistry in the school and is expected to contribute co-operatively to the Science Department and also to the development and maintenance of whole school strategy, policies and ethos.

The teaching requirement consists of 24 periods of 45 minutes plus Form Tutor time, plus 2 periods of Social, Cultural and Service. Our school year consists of 32 weeks of contact time.

For the right candidate, with the appropriate experience, we could offer Head of Department responsibility with this role.

Earlscliffe was founded as an independent, day and boarding, sixth form college in 2012 and recently joined the Dukes Education group of elite educational establishments.

Earlscliffe is fully co-educational, educating boys and girls from 15-19yrs and currently all of our students, except three day students, are full boarding and are accommodated within our five residences.

There are currently 107 students from over 30 nationalities in the school. There are approximately 30 teaching staff (p/t and f/t) and about 65 employees in total. We also operate Easter and Summer School courses throughout the vacation periods.
