If so, we are looking for an experience finance professional to join us at the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), and we'd love to hear from you.

Job description

As Reporting and Configuration Manager, we will look to you to manage DVSA financial coding configuration, system integrity and the interface with our shared service provider.

You will carry out numerous processes relating to budget, forecast and planning, report building, distribution and maintenance, as well as period close processes and other ad hoc duties, with responsibility for managing a small team to undertake these activities.

This role is offered on a fixed term basis of up to 9 months with the possibility of being made permanent.
 

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Reporting and Configuration lead, your duties may include:

• Manage the Master data configuration of SAP for DVSA ensuring compliance with policy and procedures, reconciling to external records ensuring information is properly maintained within the SAP system
• To act as the Gatekeeper for all requests to open, close, and change a large range of different coding types and hierarchies/structures in SAP
• Impact assess system changes and assist future system changes through user acceptance testing
• Consolidation of budgets, and for the coordination and upload of all financial data for the approved budget.
• Converting staffing forecasts into monetary value and uploading into the financial system
• Managing the month end timetable, ensuring period closures and forecast versions are completed on time

About you

We are looking for an experienced and proactive finance professional with experience of using and managing financial systems, like SAP ERP.

You will be a confident and capable user of Microsoft Office Suite, including reporting from PowerBI and advanced use of Excel to manipulate, interpret and present large amounts of complex data.

You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels across the organisation and the confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.

You are highly organised and resourceful, able to manage competing priorities, people and resources to meet tight deadlines as part of a results-orientated team.

• Full AAT qualification or Foundation stage of ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or ICAEW

Level 2 - £2000
• ACCA Papers F7 - F9 Complete
• CIMA - Managerial level
• CIPFA - All papers at Diploma Level
• ICAEW - All Professional Stage Application Modules

Level 3 - £3000
• All papers - ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAEW

Selection process details

When considering your experience, please tailor your CV and Statement of Suitability to provide detailed evidence of:

• Experience of using a Financial system preferably SAP
• Experience of using Microsoft Office 365 particularly reporting from Power BI
• Expert user of excel including VBA, and ability to manipulate, interpret and present large amounts of complex data
• Extensive experience of writing reports in a financial system
• Experience of budgeting processes
• Experience of systems management and designing, implementing and managing Change Control
• Effective communicator experienced in dealing with all levels within the organisation in both and oral and written form.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and achieve tight deadlines as part of a results-orientated team

The sift is due to take place 30th November 2021.

Interviews/assessments are likely to be held 9th and 10th December 2021.

This interview could be conducted via a video interview, details of which will be provided to you should you be selected for interview.
