Job Description

The Head of HR will be responsible for all aspects of the HR function for CRFCA and the regions. Initially reporting into the Chief of Staff, but will ultimately report into the HR Director.

Initially the role will focus on the transition of CRFCA from an ALB (Arm's Length Body) to an NDPB (Non Departmental Public Body).

The main responsibilities of the role;

  • Writing, developing, implementing and embedding the People Strategy across all of the associations within the CRFCA
  • Provide expert HR advice, guidance and support to the CRFCA
  • Recruiting, developing, train and line manage a small HR team of c.3 members of staff
  • Oversee all recruitment activities, including full compliance with DBS, security checks etc.
  • Oversee complex ER casework
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are reviewed and updated regularly
  • Liaise with MoD and HQ RC on employment related issues (ETs, SSP etc)
  • Identify Training and Development requirements across the organisation
  • Develop and embed D&I strategy including reporting where necessary
  • Lead on development and use of Cascade HR system

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be;

  • Minimum CIPD L5 qualified
  • Proven track record operating at a senior level within HR and people management
  • Experience of writing, implementing and embedding a People Strategy encompassing all aspects of HR including L&D, Recruitment, Equality Diversity and Inclusion and Pay and Reward
  • Strong Employment Law Knowledge
  • Track record in implementing organisational change and transformation
  • Experience managing HR budget
