Role
This role is partly funded by the ERDF. To develop innovation in Intelligent Mobility projects with partner businesses on the Staffordshire Connected & Intelligent Mobility Innovation Accelerator (SCIMIA) programme. This role will be supported by an academic member of staff with relevant expertise.
As part of the SCIMIA programme, Staffordshire University has entered a partnership with C L Solutions an innovative and growing Staffordshire based company who. They provide breakdown and repair services for production lines.
We are now looking to recruit a full-time/part-time Web Developer to help to support and innovate the businesses by automating processes to provide more up to date information. As the Web Developer, you will be helping C L Solutions to implement and develop a new innovative CRM Solution based on SuiteCRM. This collaboration is bespoke and a truly unique opportunity for you to get involved in and greatly increase your career development moving forward.
You will work closely with the business to identify their exact requirements and will then carry out a functional comparison with SuiteCRM. This is expected to show gaps which will be addresses by the implementation of customisations and bespoke modules. We are looking for support to develop this using PHP, MySQL, Java, Beans, MVC.
Duties and responsibilities
Through this project, we are seeking to:
* Identify the detailed customer requirements
* Carry out a functional comparison with SuiteCRM
* Develop customisations and bespoke modules to fill the gaps identified.
This role is partly funded by the ERDF and will be supported by an academic member of staff with relevant expertise.
Skills and experience
Main activities will vary from partnership to partnership. We have provided a framework of expected activities for the projects.
?? Investigate company's current position and perform feasibility analysis on the project domain.
?? Project Planning and reporting - Plan activity over the 24/48 weeks and provide progress reports to the Partnership Management Committee.
?? Design - Follow a recognised design methodology to document the design of new process / products.
?? Implement - Implement the designed solution.
?? Test - Test new processes and or products.
?? Report - Communicate to company supervisor on a weekly basis. Analyse project impact and produce the final report with Company Supervisor, Academic Knowledge Exchange Lead and SCIMIA Programme Manager
