Mind in Croydon is a highly regarded voluntary organisation which is concerned with the welfare of people experiencing poor mental health, living in the London Borough of Croydon.

This role is an exciting opportunity to work in the Welfare Benefits and Employment Support Team based in South Croydon. The role is part time and contracted to September 2022 with a strong likelihood to be extended and possibly made permanent.

The successful post holder will motivate and enable people experiencing poor mental health to take the opportunity to move towards the world of work. The post holder will carry a large and diverse caseload. The caseload will include an element of supporting people to sustain employment. Mind in Croydon is a voluntary organisation which is concerned with the welfare of people experiencing mental health, living in the London Borough of Croydon.

Key tasks include:

Creating person centred action plans for clients and conducting reviews to set objectives and measure achievements. Assisting the caseload with searching and applying for jobs, with a focus on finding jobs that match skills and abilities.
Using an understanding of Disability Discrimination to support clients with employability goals.
Collecting quantitative and qualitative data with the aim of demonstrating services impact and performance.
Develop links with employers to arrange work experience, work placements, in-house experience or work/job shadowing.
Developing and delivering workshops to clients and wider stakeholders
Maintaining accurate statistics and utilising a file management system.
Undertaking a wide range of administrative tasks including keeping detailed case notes, quarterly stats for the commissioners, case studies for monitoring purposes etc.

Salary is GBP21,078 pa (FTE GBP26,347 pa)and there are excellent benefits incuding 28 days hols pro rata leading to 33 days pro rata after 5 years service. We offer a flexible and supportive working environment .
