In this role, you will plan, manage and oversee the work activities of the Payroll Team to ensure the accurate and timely payroll for circa 3000 employees across three counties whilst also leading, developing and implementing our salary, bonus and benefits packages.

What do you need to be successful?

You will be expert in payroll, and ideally have some benefits and reward knowledge with a good understanding of LGPS, TPS and NEST pension schemes. You will need to be able to provide professional payroll advice and guidance to all staff and managers.

Previous experience of iTrent and Business Objects would be beneficial and a high level of knowledge of pensions reconciliations and processes is essential.

You will proactively review, develop and improve the payroll processes, maximising opportunities to deliver a high quality payroll and reward service to internal and external stakeholders.

To be considered for this role you must have proven knowledge and ability to use a range of computer packages, including Microsoft Office and possess previous management experience.
