Risk Lead - Dreadnought Programme

 

Would you like to play a key role in delivering risk and opportunity on a world class risk-led engineering programme? We currently have a vacancy for a Risk Lead - Dreadnought Programme at one of our UK sites.

 

As a Risk Lead, you will be joining the Dreadnought Programme within Risk and Opportunity team, which is integral to the Dreadnought programme, giving you a fantastic chance to network across senior stakeholders within the business. You will be joining the role at an exciting time, with the Dreadnought Programme progressing at-pace, working in a team that are seeking to excel with risk and opportunity management in a complex environment. This role could lead to future opportunities within the BAE Systems business.

 

 

Your main responsibilities as Risk Lead - Dreadnought Programme will involve:

 

  • Risk lead within the Dreadnought programme for multiple Control Account areas of responsibilityWorking with multiple control account managers (CAMs) to identify and manage risks, opportunities and learning from experience (LFE).Conducting schedule and cost modelling against risks and opportunities identified.Working with the Programme Management Office (PMO) and CAMs to assign funding to risks and opportunities where appropriate.Providing support to Dreadnought PMO risk, opportunity and LFE reporting.Integrating the risks, opportunities and LFE into the Dreadnought cost/finance and change processes, where appropriateInterfacing, where appropriate, with the Alliance and the customer on reporting of risks within their responsibility.Conducting Risk Reviews. Development of Capability for the team.Articulating Governance Metrics and interpreting them.

  • Risk ExperienceProject Controls knowledge

  • Project Management experienceExperience of Complex programmesChange managementPlanning experienceAPM MOR qualification (management of risk)

You should have good communication skills, and the ability to: Lead meetings, handle stakeholder queries and influence others to ensure timely delivery of reports and updates.
