Summary
Job title: Personal assistants (PA's)

Reporting to: The Employer's advocate/manager

Location: Kidderminster DY10

Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer:
My client is a 94-year-old housebound Gentleman living in the DY10 area of Kidderminster who requires the support of additional Personal Assistants to enable him to live within his own home. He currently receives 4 visits a day provided via several sources, (morning, lunch, teatime and bedtimes).

The gentleman has Parkinson's Disease, Dementia and Diabetes along with other health concerns, so the need is to recruit personnel with previous care/handling experience, trained in administering medication is prefered.

They MUST be fully COVID-19 and Flu vaccinated.

Main duties include:
Social duties:
keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
Personal care: Help to shower, shave, clean teeth, dress, administer medication and help at mealtimes etcetera.

Domestic duties: Include, support with preparing/heating, and serving nutritious meals and snacks, cleaning, changing linen, laundry.

Specific requirements: Someone with an understanding of Parkinson's, Dementia, Diabetes, Arthritis and Visual/auditory impairments.

Hours of work: Negotiable
Several carers are needed to cover for a current total of 16 Hours Weekly, and additionally to cover for Sickness & Holidays. 4 visits daily are needed.

Rate of pay:
GBP10.00 PER HOUR

Medication trained
