Summary
FEMALE PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT at DUCA LTD
24hrs per week-GBP11.50 per hour
Shifts are 8hrs. Start time is 8.50am, HomeTime is 4.50pm.
The shifts alternate on a fortnightly rota, so if you work on a Monday week 1 & 3 then you get Monday off on week 2 & 4.
Christmas Day & New Years Day are holidays for all staff.
New Years Eve, Christmas Eve & Boxing Day you only work until 2.30pm.
Bank Holidays are paid at Double Rate GBP23 per hour

DUCA LTD is a small family business with a total of 4 female staff, who provide Private Care 24hrs a day for Louise, a really lovely woman aged 41yrs who was born with Cerebral Palsy. All shifts take place in her own bungalow in the Acocks Green B27 area of Birmingham.

Everyday we get Louise up, bathed and dressed, make tea, prepare lunch, do laundry and light domestics. Louise is Total Care, so needs help with every aspect of life including eating and drinking. There are 2 pad changes plus medication to administer. She uses a wheelchair and transfers by using a One Man Operated Ceiling Track Hoist.
It's a happy, relaxed place to work, and with only one client you get the full experience of One-to-One Private Care at it's best.

What you will need if you want to apply for this position:
An NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification
GCSE's in Maths & English.
3+ years paid work in Care, that's Agency/Nursing Home/Hospital
References from a previous Manager

You must be independent with plenty of Life Skills because you will be working alone after training. Health and Safety awareness is vital and some knowledge of Epilepsy would be useful. Once training is complete overtime will be available (but not compulsory) for when you need to increase your earnings for a holiday etc.
There is private off road parking. We are 4mins walk from the 11 bus route and 5mins walk from Acocks Green Train Station.
