IT Technician & Network Support - Manchester & Crewe

Is providing outstanding IT network technical support to large organisations with a substantial number of end users a key driver for you? Do you already have two years' experience of providing responsive and customer focused IT networking support? Are you able to travel independently to client sites to provide excellent support on a regular basis?
If so, then we would really like to hear from you. We have a fantastic role for an experienced IT Technician in the Crewe and Manchester areas, working closely with a selection of our schools, to provide first class IT networking consultancy in a friendly but professional and progressive environment.
We purposefully seek out active IT Technician professionals who enjoy engaging with their clients and who can champion the aims of our forward-thinking company, to create better educational outcomes through amazing IT consultancy.
Role Fundamentals:
* Regular visits to a selection of client schools to provide effective on-site responses to a range of IT networking and end user support requests
* Using robust and growing knowledge to support across IT services and technologies, including Microsoft, Google and Apple platforms.
* Process and escalate incoming requests for support both on site and remotely via the helpdesk.
* Participate in project work at client sites, with the potential for developing the direction and scope of these projects in the future.
* Working closely with our expert Account Managers to provide holistic technical support and consultancy for valued clients in schools.
Core IT Competencies:
* Around 2 years demonstrable experience in IT support services and or consultancy
* Relevant certification in Networking (e.g., CCNA) and/or Microsoft
* Applied working knowledge of firewalls and HP Aruba switches in commercial or organisational settings
* Current network troubleshooting skills, including knowledge of LAN & WAN technologies
* Windows Active Directory and Microsoft Office 365 suite and Azure Active Directory
* Some VMWare and Microsoft Hyper V Clustering experience would be beneficial
* Some experience in recent Microsoft Server (Apply online only) builds
* Experience with Google Workspace For Education (beneficial)
* Also, with the Windows AD (Active Directory), Microsoft Office 365 & Azure AD,
* InTune
Key Responsibilities:
* Regular scheduled visits to client sites in Crewe and Manchester
* Monitor service board remotely and progress accordingly
* Reactive site visits when necessary to help resolve issues
* Maintain clear communication to the team and clients
* Assisting account managers by responding to queries regarding sites
* Keep internal documentation up to date to assist team learning

40 hours a week
Monday - Friday
**Part Time / Term Time variations considered**
Predominantly school site visits, some work from home, visit to the regional office in Stockport to be considered, however this would be infrequent
Pay Scale L2/3
GBP22- GBP26k per annum (full time)
