7.00 - 3.00 Thursday & Friday
16.30 - 20.00 Thursday & Friday
9.00 - 15.00 Sunday

* General Responsibilities

To ensure that all kitchen tasks are done to the required standard
Kitchen to be left clean and tidy
Ensure that all Health & Safety regulations are met when using kitchen equipment.
Tasks & Responsibilities
To be on duty as required by the duty rota
Provide and maintain a high standard in all aspects of kitchen work.
Ensure that all dishes are swilled before putting them through the dishwasher.
Keep clean all work surfaces in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination.
Lay dining room tables ready for lunch, once they have been cleaned by the Domestic Assistants.
Coffee and tea rounds to be started by 10.30am, this involves two kitchen assistants one for the ground floor and the second for the first & second floors.
Trolleys are then returned to the kitchen and washing up done.
Collect all remaining items from the coffee/tea round.
Make sandwiches if requested by the Chef on duty.
Any cleaning tasks that are on the cleaning rota to be done.
At the end of your shift ensure that all the rubbish is taken out, the kitchen floor cleaned and all surfaces left clean & tidy.
To attend and participate in the orientation and inservice training programmes.
To comply with Beech House policies and procedures.

Salary: GBP8.95 /hour over 23 years
