Part Time Company Accountant
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing family business based in Mitcham. The company has enjoyed continued success within a niche market and predict another 20-30% growth for the coming year. Reporting directly to the MD, this is a sole charge "Company Accountant / Finance Manager" role. You will be required for 3-4 days or 22.5 to 30 hours per week. The role is office based, although there is flexibility provided as to which days or when the hours are worked.
The business is equipped with modern systems and the general accounts package used is Xero. Previous experience of working with Xero will be essential.
You will be joining a small, close knit and highly motivated team. The Directors have ambitious plans for the company and this role is newly created to help them accommodate their future growth plans.
You will be an experienced Accountant, who enjoys managing the day-to-day finances of a small business. This is very much a "hands on" role and will suit a detailed orientated person with strong bookkeeping skills.
The main responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the sales ledger process is run promptly and accurately
- Payment of suppliers
- Credit control and raising any credit notes
- Bank reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Staff expenses
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Ad-hoc financial reporting such as cash flow projections
