Amazing opportunity to join a friendly and busy Employment agency based in Milton Keynes, offering the flexibility of part time hours. You will have experience of running a payroll and working with the specialist software this entails.
The purpose of this role is to process payroll and other financial documents, performing accounting work and completing other administrative tasks as and when required.
Key Duties:
* Authorising time sheets and checking the number of hours an employee has worked.
* Calculating weekly wages.
* Calculating holidays, pay raises, shift payments and overtime compensation
* Dealing with Pension queries
* Issuing tax forms and related documentation and assisting employees to complete them
* Deducting tax and National insurance payments
* Resolving issues employees have with timesheets, payslips and other payroll matters
* Changing employee bank records when necessary to process payments accurately
* Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software and databases
* Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
* Completing VAT returns
* Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
* Managing employee expense claims
Key Skills Required:
* A sound understanding and experience of both BrightPay and Xero accounting and payroll systems.
* Ability to work in a confidential manner, as you will be working with the human resources department to maintain employee data
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Attention to detail and accuracy of work
* Able to prepare, review and understand financial statements
* Excellent knowledge of general accounting
Salary and Benefits:
* Part time hours, 9.30 to 2.30 Monday to Thursday (20 hours per week)
* Salary of between GBP26000 and GBP28000 pro rata
* 28 days annual leave (pro rata)
* Free parking
