Position: Support Assistant and Night Assistant roles available

Location: Aylesbury

Hours: Full time, part time and bank hours available

Salary: £19,305 per annum plus 10% night shift allowance - (£9.50ph)

About the role:

There are various roles available within this service; Full time, Part time and also Relief Work, which gives you more flexibility of the days and times you work so is perfect to fit in around other commitments you may have.

As a Support Worker you will have the opportunity to help people choose the life they want to live. Seeing to it that these people are able to grow, develop and achieve their goals, you will deliver support and guidance that has the scope to be life-changing. You will also support to maintain tenancies.

Every day will present you with new challenges and opportunities. That might mean you’ll assist your customers in days out and social activities, and you will be there as a trusted support.

Through the organisations housing, care and support services we enable people facing a wide variety of challenging circumstances to lead more resilient and independent lives.

About you:

This role isn’t for everyone, at times it’s tough. And at others incredibly rewarding. You will need to be resilient, empathetic and able to leave your work at work and not take it home with you.

You’ll be able to use a computer, which will make keeping on top of the admin that much easier.

As a minimum requirement you’ll need:

 

  • An understanding of the varying needs and requirements of the customer groups that you will be supporting
  • To be able to work as part of a team, and communicate clearly
  • A can-do attitude, with the capacity to develop positive working relationships with internal colleagues and external agencies
  • To be flexible, with the ability to work a shift pattern that includes days, nights and weekends

Whilst experience is not essential as full training will be provided, we very much welcome previous experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, Care Worker, Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Nurses, Social Care Worker, Care Assistant, Mental Health Care Worker, Voluntary Worker.
