Now is your chance! We have an opportunity for a Cook to join the team at our University of West Cambridge Day Nursery in Cambridge on a part time basis working 20-30 hours a week. We are offering a pay rate of GBP9.73-GBP12.02 per hour for this role.

Main Responsibilities

You will prepare and cook raw ingredients in-line with the set breakfast, lunch and tea menus, which promote healthy eating for our children. You will ensure all allergies and special diets are catered for appropriately
You will keep the kitchen environment clean, tidy and hygienic at all times and your clear leadership will ensure your colleagues uphold the same high standards. You will adhere to COSHH guidelines and Food Hygiene standards, maintaining a 5 star environment
You will work in partnership with the Nursery Manager to order stock and manage the kitchen budget, and you will ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to
You will respectfully engage with colleagues, our Health, Safety and Environments team, and external professionals, including the Food Standards Agency, in order to successfully work in partnership to uphold children's well-being

Ideal Candidate

You enjoy working as part of a small team and your knowledge of all things Food Hygiene related, coupled with your experience of working in a professional kitchen environment and your genuine enjoyment of cooking, enables you to motivate your colleagues. Your leadership and organisational skills, your ability to manage a budget and your high standards, make you the perfect candidate
