Part Time Finance Manager
Permanent post
Office based in Hitchin with parking (possible hybrid flexibility)
3 days a week (9am-5pm)
I'm delighted to be supporting the second generation of Directors of a respectable family business with the appointment of their next Finance Manager who will work closely with the owners and Accountants, being solely responsible for the day-to-day Accounting of the holding company and its affiliated businesses.
The Accounting function for this business has been in trusted good hands and as the incumbent worker retires this spring, this opportunity comes as the business direction moves forward into a new era. This is an exciting time for the company. The entrepreneurial spirit, energy and vision is evident.
To support the Directors, this new post of Finance Manager requires a qualified Accounting professional. Someone who operates with high standards, who is loyal, trustworthy, and confidential.
The business operates using cloud-based Office 365 and Sage Accounting.
Recruitment time plan: Interviews will be taking place during January. We are working on a start date Feb/March to ensure a smooth handover in Q1.
An overview of your responsibilities and of the experience we need:
Full Sage bookkeeping for approximately 10 trading entities.
Online banking and reconciliation
Small payroll, but full function of, including Class 1a NIC
VAT returns and calculations (with knowledge of partial exemptions/ de minimis rules)
Year End
Liaison with external Accountants
Raising rental and service charge invoices
Organising insurance / renewals
If your career experience has been construction or property related, this would be a huge advantage.
Min. MAAT qualification or equiv. please
Salary shown is full time equivalent, to be pro rata.
