What you'll do:

 

* Lead a team of analysts to produce high quality, actionable insights leveraging both commercial and advanced analytics techniques
* Provide expert technical leadership in analytical approaches and be responsible for the development & training of the team whilst building an outstanding analytics function.
* Champion the power of data in decision making and lead the charge in ensuring its leveraged to make strategic business decisions
* Own relationships with Data Technology teams to ensure data is led effectively to enable efficient turnaround of analytics
* Formulate & implement analytical solutions to business challenges and transform to clear, concise findings suitable for an Exec audience
* Work closely with insight & research heads to understand business challenges and ensure insights are relevant and actionable
* Gain an understanding of the commercial opportunities that exist to improve the way we make decisions with better insights

 


What you'll bring:

 

* Ability to lead a hard-working analytics team - both through providing analytical expertise as well as coaching and championing their development
* Experience in working in fast paced environment in order to deliver insights that can influence the direction of the business
* Consistent record of being able to communicate and influence partners at Director & Exec level
* Excellent commercial skills: to be able connect Insights with business opportunity
* High levels of logical thinking & problem-solving skills. Able to deal with complex problems using innovative and industry leading techniques.
* Hands on experience using data mining tools or languages (e.g. SAS, SQL) experience is vital.

 


Team Overview:

 

The Insights team within Consumer strategy are at the forefront of understanding consumers and creating actionable insight about their behaviours, attitudes and needs. This consumer intelligence helps deliver a better experience and service to consumers and improves marketing performance. We have a considerable team with a variety of specialist skills including analytics, research, insight consultancy and econometrics and have a very extensive and deep stakeholder base across 30+ areas of Sky, covering every subject - from market & prospect headroom through to customer retention and everything in between

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There's also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
